Sorry Dr. Oz loyalists…this one’s gonna sting a little…maybe a lot.

A recent study of Dr. Oz’s recommendations made on his TV show has found less than half of his recommendations are based on medical research evidence.

The researchers reviewed 40 episodes of The Dr. Oz Show containing almost 480 “medical” recommendations – the results are:

-only 46% of Dr. Oz’s recommendations are based on accepted medical knowledge

-39% of all recommendations have no basis on medially accepted knowledge

-15% of all of Dr. Oz’s recommendations contradicted accepted medical knowledge
